BEAM

A bright idea

Collaboration | Shapr3d | 2026

BEAM is a minimal lamp built around a simple idea: what if a torch could be turned into a designer lamp?

A 1000-lumen handheld torch sits inside a folded steel frame, transforming it into an architectural light object.

The narrow vertical slits allow light to escape between the legs, creating a soft ambient glow while shielding the direct beam from gaze. A circular opening at the top releases additional light and doubles as a finger pick-up point.

When needed, the torch can be removed instantly and used once again as a torch, turning back into a practical tool.

BEAM is formed from 2 mm powder-coated folded steel, creating a simple structure that houses the torch while giving the object a sturdy presence.

A lamp when you need light.
A torch when you need more.
