Golem Lamp
A solid idea
In line with the guidelines set by Yanko Design and KeyShot, the Photorealism Rendering Challenge invites creators to demonstrate just how realistic their renders can be. One of the key requirements was to use Physical Lights—light materials applied to objects and planes—instead of HDRI environment lighting.
So, I embraced the challenge fully: no HDRIs, no environment lights—just the power of KeyShot’s new Planar Lights bringing the Golem Lamp to life.
Golem is where raw form meets function.
This concept has been in my mind for a while: a monolithic stone, purposefully carved to allow light elements to slot in seamlessly—evoking a calm sense of balance and harmony.
I named it Golem because the rock takes on an almost life-like presence. Its ability to hold and interact with the lights in multiple ways feels intuitive.
